Privacy Policy

Trajex (“the app”, “we”, “our”) is a precision exterior-ballistics calculator for iPhone. We built Trajex to be private by design: it has no user accounts, shows no ads, and contains no third-party analytics or tracking. This policy explains exactly what data the app touches and why.

Data stored on your device

Everything you create in Trajex — rifles, loads, cartridges, saved environmental inputs, photos you attach, and app preferences such as your unit system — is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any server, and we have no access to it.

Location

If you tap “Use my location” to fetch live weather, the app requests your device location and sends the coordinates to Open-Meteo, a third-party weather API (open-meteo.com), to retrieve local temperature, pressure, humidity, and wind.

• Your coordinates are used only to obtain weather for that request.
• Your location is not stored by us, is not linked to any identity, and is not shared with anyone other than the weather provider for the purpose of returning weather.
• You can use the app fully without location by entering atmospheric values manually.

Open-Meteo’s handling of requests is governed by its own privacy terms. open-meteo.com

Camera and photos

You may optionally attach photos to your rifles and loads. These photos are chosen by you from your photo library or taken with the camera, and are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to us or any server, and they are excluded from backup export files.

Backups

Trajex lets you export your data to a file and import it back. These backup files are created and handled by you, using the save or share destination you choose. We never receive them, and exported backups do not include attached photos.

What we do not do

• We do not collect personal information.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies.
• We do not create user profiles or require accounts.
• We do not sell or share your data.

Network connections

The app connects to the internet only to fetch weather from Open-Meteo when you request it. The bullet database and the C.I.P. cartridge reference sheets are bundled inside the app and need no network connection. Links you can choose to open — such as the support page or a cartridge’s official C.I.P. source — open in your browser only when you tap them.

Children’s privacy

Trajex is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
